Scholarships

The Douglas Bomford Trust offers, on a competitive basis, a limited number of scholarships each year, to primarily support students studying agricultural engineering at undergraduate level in the UK. However, students studying other UK agricultural based courses, or UK courses where the knowledge is being applied in the agricultural industry may also be considered. 

Initially, applications will be evaluated using the submitted documentation. Successful candidates will then be interviewed before a final decision is made. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is FINAL and they reserve the right to withdraw their award at any time should they feel this action is required.

Application Launch: 22 November 2025

Application Deadline: 12 Noon Friday 12 December 2025

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a panel interview in late January 2026.

Recipients for 2024/25 were from Harper Adams University, and the Royal Agricultural University. 

They spent their sponsorship on a wide range of purposes to assist their studies and research projects.
